This totally passed us by, but last week officially marked a full year of Out of Commission! Apart from a few weeks of holidays we've been publishing this newsletter every week for one whole year, which is definitely...something. Thanks again for reading, and please, if you enjoy this newsletter please do share it. It really does make us happy to see number go up.

In other news! Even the most casual internet visitor has come across a think piece on how AI content (both writing and art) is warping our minds because increasingly we don't know what is and what isn't AI generated. This is very true and very concerning! Some days it's all a bit too much, and recently it was playing out in real time, especially around this piece that Alexis Franklin produced for The Devil Wears Prada 2 which was definitely doing some numbers over this total unintended controversy.

We're seeing an increasing number of 'proof of life' style posts around art, really highlighting behind the scenes work, process videos etc, all things to prove the human-made nature of the work. Despite the less than ideal circumstances around why these are necessary, they are actually benefitting both artists (more work and usage), and brands (more content, engagement, and goodwill).

Alexis is a ridiculously talented artist (the Procreate timelapses are wild), but for the comments alone, this is our pick of the week!
