Issue 72

Welcome back to our second issue under our new design. For those just joining, we've recently migrated the entire newsletter and our archives to Ghost, where you can now view all previous posts and individual projects, sortable by artist, client, and agency, all at outofcommission.news

(One thing we didn't mention last week is that the newsletter is now totally free! All paid users from PencilBooth have had their subscriptions cancelled and pro-rated refunded. (If you were a paid subscriber and have any issues with that, drop us a line at tips@outofcommission.news!) No other changes there, except the issues might just be a bit longer!)

Our pick of the week goes to Illo for this recent package for Bloomberg TV. We've been seeing lots of similar references in pitch decks coming across our desks recently. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it literally feels like we're swimming in a literal sea of data, this is definitely a growing trend of utilising similar data-graphing methods in a more illustrative way. These pieces happen to do it in a particularly engaging way. Hope you enjoy!

Again, if you like the newsletter (and we know you do, because very few of you ever unsubscribe!) please tell a friend! Pretty please.
